Månegarm @manegarmofficial At their 30th anniversary gig in Gothenburg It was really great, good sound and light production. I was maybe missing some song from the setlist, but the setlist was good considering their vast discography, nice to hear some really early raw black metal stuff as well. Event by Luciferian Society @luciferian.society I really love violins in metal, works so good. During the songs without the violin we get an extra third guitarist during Månegarms live sets which adds both an extra punch and a more dynamic sound and harmonies. Great "sing a long" moments, great melodies and great double bass drum moments, I really like metal that has a great balance between melodies, speed and intensity, raw moments. I was unfortunately a little disappointed last time I saw them in Gothenburg 2022 cause of the stagnant light production they had at that gig, so was a bit uninspiring to shoot then. But last night at Monument 031 the light and sound production was great. @monument031 It is a fairly new place, and I have been there a few times, and the sound and light production has been really good, I have maybe experienced one gig in the past there when one of the guitars wasn't as audible, but nothing more than that. The night also featured Jord who went on first, which I knew nothing about, but I really liked them, it's the kind of metal that like the most, speed and melody intertwined. They also had a very heavy sound which were nice, also good to be able to bring a dynamic sound despite "just" being a trio, which is kind of impressing, gonna check out their stuff some more. @jord_bandofficial The night was co-headlined with Thyrfing @thyrfingofficial who also celebrated 30 years as a band, it feels a bit weird when time flies ha ha, I remember when Metallica had their 30 year anniversary which doesn't feel that long ago. They fit in the same group as Månegarm & Ereb Altor With their blending of black metal riffs, folk inspired melodies and Norse mythology based lyrics, with a dose of death metal sound. They also had a good set ranging from their earliest stuff and forward+rarities
